On September
30, 2008, members of the Reisterstown Kiwanis Club and Key Club members of
Franklin High school met at Reisterstown United
Methodist Church to bake cookies for the troops. We started mixing cookie dough and baking at
6:30 p.m. Once cooled, we placed them in
plastic zip lock bags and packed them in boxes for the troops in Afganistan. We made 50 batches of cookies and mailed them the next day.
We enjoyed doing this and we believe this is what our Kiwanis Club is all
about. SERVICE FOR THOSE IN NEED.
